Man stabs dad and mom, killing her, after losing his job: cops

A Long Island man stabbed his mom to death and wounded his dad Wednesday during a rampage after he was fired from his job, according to police.

Ian Kazer, 29, was arguing with his parents inside their Syosset home when things got violent, authorities said.

He allegedly stabbed his 66-year-old mom, Frances Kazer, in the upper torso and neck — and knifed his 69-year-old dad, Ian Kazer, in the chest, according to the report.

His mother succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, and his father remains in stable condition.

Kazer was charged with murder and attempted murder, both in the second degree, police said.

He had been laid off from his workplace earlier Wednesday, said Lt. Steven Fitzpatrick, commander of the Nassau Police Department’s Homicide Squad.
