Combine all of that with systems integration (SIS being exposed to the office LAN!) and you’re going to eventually get a highly orchestrated, and probably dramatic industrial disaster.
I get that companies want remote support on everything they possibly can, gotta squeeze those pennies, right? But, it’s getting to the point of borderline negligence. You’d think that the power and chemical industries would be scrambling to mitigate at least the worst of it, but… no.
We’ll just have to wait until something goes boom and unleashes god-knows-what kind of nightmare on the world.
