Why is it so hard to find a camera for room surveillance that supports 5ghz, RSTP (or alternatives) and doesn’t need an internet connection to be set up? I don’t feel like I’m asking for too much

I’m building my own system that also includes a security aspect, and plan to nail a few cameras to the walls in my flat. Problem is, I want a smooth, as undelayed as possible, direct access to the video streams (hence 5GHz). That apparently is too much to ask for.

I don’t care about cloud stuff, motion detection, night vision, 2-way audio and whatever else is nowadays slapped onto cameras.

The first camera I got was kinda nice, though instead of having the advertised 95°, it recorded only about 70°. I wasn’t even able to setup the second camera, because it requires an internet connection, and they sure as hell don’t get that from me.

I’ve searched around the net for quite some time now. Only few cameras appear to support 5GHz, and if they do they usually have an angle of 60°-80°. The only fitting cameras I could find so far were dome cameras that cost about an arm and a leg, and provide questionable image quality at best.

Am I searching for the wrong keywords? Is the technology not there yet? What am I doing wrong?
